Electrician

Our client has a rare and unique opportunity to work on critical maritime projects, contributing to the maintenance of both commercial and Navy vessels at Garden Island. All this, and undoubtedly, some of the best views in the world!

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electricians to work alongside a team of trades on a variety of large and interesting projects. These roles are Permanent full time.

Duties will include:

• Diagnose, repair, install and program electrical equipment and control systems
• Conduct testing, commissioning and overhaul of repaired equipment
• Interpret drawings, participate in audits and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Utilise predictive maintenance/condition monitoring techniques for continuous improvement and risk assessment

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Electrical Trade qualification & A Class Electrical License
• Well-developed fault finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Industrial electrical experience
• Control System and programming experience
• White Card
• RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights
• RIIWHS202E - Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

Addionally, you will be required to pass a National Police Check and be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.

Desirable Experience and licenses

• Hazardous Area electrical competency
• HV Operators License
• Instrumentation experience
• Dual trade qualification in Electrician / Instrumentation.
• High Risk Work Licenses including Elevated Work Platform and forklift
